All Workshops may be booked at the Controlled Burn Fitness Studio, Monday through Friday, and on the weekends when available. Workshops may also be booked at the location of your choice within the local area which includes Glendale, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, La Canada, La Crescenta, Echo Park, Silverlake, Atwater Village, and Burbank. Each Workshop may be booked as a Private Workshop for 1 (one) client, or can be booked as a Group Workshop for up to 4-10 participants (depending on Workshop Type and Location). Special Rates and Discounts are available for Dance Companies, Dance Studios, Running and Athletic Groups, and other Health and Fitness Organizations. Please contact the studio for more information.

| Workshops Descriptions Flexibility, Core-Conditioning, and Restorative/Relaxation Workshop (3-Hour)
About this Workshop This Workshop will introduce performance enhancing techniques, used by some of the world’s greatest athletes, dancers, and fitness enthusiasts. You will learn new ways to improve flexibility, you will challenge and integrate your core, you will relax and restore your body, and leave with plenty of tools to help enhance all of your workouts. Each participant will leave with a Take-Home Outline with detailed descriptions of all exercises that were explored throughout the Workshop. Important Information: Be prepared to feel good! : ) Please arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to get signed-in and settled. Please be considerate to your fellow participants and leave all fragrance/cologne at home. Ultimate Relaxation Workshop (3 Hours) Workshops Descriptions
About this Workshop Many of us are beginning to feel the stress brought on by juggling work, family life, and the tension that comes from dealing with tough economic times. It is essential to have as many tools/skills to help us better deal with the challenges of daily life. This Workshop combines two of the most relaxation and enlightening Workshops that Controlled Burn Fitness offers: Breath-Control and Mindful-Movement Workshop, Restorative Relaxation Workshop. The first half of this workshop will focus on Breath Control and Mindful Movement exercises/techniques that are designed to enable you to have more control over your responses to physical/emotional stresses. You will enjoy the exploration of several breathing styles/techniques and have the chance to explore enlightening Mindful Movement Exercises that will help you enjoy the calm that comes from "taking things slow". During the second half of the workshop you will enjoy an Hour and a Half of Restorative Relaxation where you will be gently eased into supported restorative poses, where you will have the time to explore your breath, relax into nurturing postures and maybe even fall asleep. Each participant will leave with a Take-Home Outline with detailed descriptions of all exercises that were explored throughout the Workshop. Head to Toe Flexibility Workshop (2 Hours) About this Workshop Flexibility is not just about touching your toes. To maintain a functional, healthy body, we need to address flexibility from head to toe. From your neck, down through your shoulders, upper, middle, and lower back, your hips, elbows, knees, fingers, and feet, how supple are you? This workshop will give you plenty of information, useful stretches, and a new appreciation and awareness of your body's abilities and needs. This workshop will guide you through a gentle and considerate warm up, and will progress through gentle stretching techniques that are useful for all fitness levels. You will learn how the use of certain props can aide in your flexibility practice. Each participant will leave with a Take-Home Outline with detailed descriptions of all exercises that were explored throughout the Workshop. SMR "Self Myofascial Release" (3 Hours) About this Workshop This Workshop is essential for every active individual; anyone who experiences sore muscles, excessive tightness or decreased range of motion; anyone who wants to maximize their physical potential; anyone who needs a massage but doesn't enjoy a stranger touching them. SMR is an excellent tool to improve flexibility, is a perfect supplement to professional massages, and is essential for anyone who lives an active lifestyle, and/or is looking to maintain a balanced, well cared for body. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to get signed-in and settled. Please be considerate to your fellow participants and leave all fragrance/cologne at home. If you choose to wear makeup, please bring a towel or something to cover the Restorative Yoga props to help keep them fresh for the next person who uses them. Important Information: This workshop can be uncomfortable at times, sometimes painful. It is suggested that participants attended at least one Breath-Control and Mindful-Movement Workshops or a Restorative/Relaxation Class prior to attending the SMR Workshop in order to have the awareness/tools to deal with discomfort and stress in order to enjoy the benefits of SMR.
